For what it's worth, these are the motors I'm using:

http://www.tncscooters.com/product.php?sku=106110

I believe that they are the same as the M01 motors, only without the gear
box (I bought them ages ago, before I ever heard any talk of the M01
motors). I'll be making a custom chain-based reduction for them.

You want these motors or ones exactly like them.
http://www.anvilus.com/motor01.html

Joe has a list of the vendors underneath since I think he doesn't buy
them anymore. You can also try tnc scooters

[TANKS] sherman m4a3

2010-05-13 Thread ryan wells

Should i go with using 1/16 aluminum for the whole body? Would it add critical
wheight to my tank? Or should I just go with 1/4 to 1/2 plywood.

Re: [TANKS] sherman m4a3

2010-05-13 Thread Thomas Lum
135 watts would need a lot of gearing to run a tank. Continents would
move faster. It's been said a few times before but the m01 motor is
an unstoppable motor and it comes with almost perfect gearing. It
should be on anyone's short list for tank propulsion.
