Nice work - is that some kind of U-channel steel that you have cut up to make
the track pads?

Hi, I worked on my King Tiger Hull since I got the rolling chain from Will. I
worked hard to
make 120 steel pads with teeths, 60 both sides. All the important parts are
installed and
work good. I use 24v. build in gear reduction motors intended for wheelchair.
The tank
itself is all made out of 16gage steel welded together. I used a 1/35 tamiya
KT as model
to make the 1/6 scale Hull. With one ESC RS80D, 2 gelcell 12v. and my Spectrum
receiver it work very well. In fact you can feel the wooden floor of the sheed
vibrate as
I was doing the rolling test as seen in the video. you can see pictures and
one video at:

Maybe this KT is up for his nomination. In any case I will continue to work on
it and
I have to build from scratch the turret and all. I have to do my 1/6 plans for
it so it
will be time consuming...but I love that hobby :)

nice!

what kind of channel is that you used for your tracks? how wide and tall is
the links? might be a possible replacement for my tank if these resin
links wear down too fast
