Re: [RE-wrenches] Plastic washers
But can you get proper torque with a compressible plastic washer in there? Probably Waytek has them. [RE-wrenches] Plastic washers
Hi all I've got a client who insists on "plastic " ( synthetic) washers between SS washers and the aluminum racking and modules. I'm tried every angle to assure him it's not a problem to no effect. So anybody have any recommendations about type, material, and where to buy? Thanks Jay Peltz power. ___ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: RE-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/re-wrenches@lists.re-wrenches.org/maillist.html List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm Check out or update participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org
Re: [RE-wrenches] Solarworld
I was fortunate enough to smell a rat and avoid the ASP fraudulent UL label fiasco, and as a matter of policy I refuse to buy anything from anyone but an established and respected distributor at a price that is realistic and sustainable. Closeouts on discontinued wattages from reputable dealers and bulk purchases from the manufacturer are reasonable risks, but that's as far as I would go. Incidentally, I'm servicing an Eaton/ASP PV250 inverter tomorrow that has failed (again). The whole mess is a lesson to avoid "too good to be true" prices. This poor system owner can't get anyone to help him... understandably. I always tell consumers the ASP story to scare them straight about low prices.
