[RE-wrenches] Enphase Phone Service

2016-10-06 Thread Mac Lewis
Hi Wrenches,

I know we've discussed this recently, but yesterday I literally could not
figure out out how to even get on phone hold for customer support with
Enphase on their support number (877)797-4743. It kept saying that I
needed to contact my local installer or referred me to the website and
would hang up on me. Anyone have a good way to contact them as an
installer?

Its either a poorly constructed phone tree or it really isn't a tech
support number.

Thanks

That's the number we use.

You have to have your ID number and the site ID number as well.

We've had fairly quick responses last couple of times.

[RE-wrenches] #6 PV Wire Transition

2016-10-06 Thread Corey Shalanski
We're looking for a way to transition from #6 PV wire to #8/#10 PV wire
wye-harnesses. Unfortunately Multi-Contact doesn't seem to manufacture a
#6-compatible MC4 connector. Has anyone else had to deal with this? or has
any creative solutions?

My gut is that MC4 can’t handle the kind of current that you need for #6

Corey,
The Ilsco would work, but they're quite expensive and aren't likely
rated for exposure to weather.
While I don't have a solution, Brian or staff at PV Cables may if anyone
does. 707 923-3000, www.pv-cables.com
