[RE-wrenches] PIKA wind turbine.

2018-10-14 Thread John Blittersdorf
Hi wrenches,
Do any of you own, have installed or know of a PIKA wind installation. I
have a customer asking for a wind turbine to augment the 3.5 kw solar running a
mountaintop transmitter site. I’m looking for some comments about reliability
at an unattended site.

Re: [RE-wrenches] PIKA wind turbine.

2018-10-14 Thread Jeremy Rodriguez
We’ve installed 5 of them. Good machine, and they were worth the extensive lead
times. Pika is not focused on their turbine any more, and I’ve been told they
will not produce any more, unless they have a large project to fulfill.

I have not called OB as there is no cell service at or near the system and to
do so is a huge time killer back & forth & waiting to check again. I am
convinced the brain trust here is the answer.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Any remedial action to correct this issue?

Let me know & thanks.
