No you certainly cannot rely on that tape for long. We use stainless wire clips like Heyco SunRunner or RevRunner attached to the module frame. https://www.heyco.com/Solar_Power_Components/?sub=wire-management
The QCells AC modules have the microinverters attached so they hang down past the module frame so that the support rails cannot be within 12" of the module edge. Also it makes attaching the Enphase trunk cable difficult. I find this inconvenient and no longer use the AC modules.
