[RE-wrenches] XW Grid Support or?

2022-12-21 Thread Jeremy Rodriguez via RE-wrenches

I’ve inherited a XW. 6048 system that we just installed a LiFePO4 battery bank
with.
Has anyone successfully used Grid Support with Sell disabled?
This system never had an Interconnection Agreement with the utility co so it
cannot sell.
Currently we have :
AC charger on , Multi Stage
PV input
Sell disabled
Grid Support disabled
There is no TOU metering.

Re: [RE-wrenches] Enphase consumption data

2022-12-21 Thread Jason Szumlanski via RE-wrenches
It is my understanding that you cannot have the consumption CTs enabled
without the production CT enabled. When the solar is connected on the load
side of the consumption CTs as it is in this case, the production CTs are
required to make the math work. It cannot use the microinverter readings
for the purposes of negating the production from the consumption because
the microinverter readings are simply averages of power production over
time, not instantaneous/concurrent readings.

Let me know if you find a workaround because I run into this scenario and
we just decline to install consumption monitoring altogether.
