I do not believe the Florida Building Code adopted this section. Vents must
terminate at least 6 inches above the roof. Neither the 2017 code currently
in effect nor the 2020 code includes the language of IBC P3103.1.3.

We just used a few of these recently. Seemed easy enough and plan on using more 
on an upcoming project. We had easy access to the vent in the attic which
