Having worked at both... No they are exactly opposite from each other.
If I remember correctly if you plug the Xantrex BTS into the Outback it will
appear to the inverter that the battery is VERY hot.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] interchangeability of battery temp sensors
Hello wrenches,
Does anyone know if the older xantrex bts/15 temp sensor is the interchangeable
with the Outback RTS temp sensor. The pins look the same. A quick internet
search was not conclusive. I just found an old box jammed in a closet of the
bts/15 and want to put them to use.
