I would vote for Outback FX series. FIELD REPAIRABLE. Only down side is if he is using the multiple relays for a 3 wire start generator. Wrenches, Chris I would only look at outback, Date available and easy to access, can be easily connected to additional components in the future. Samlex EVO4024 is supposed to be a very robust simple inverter. 120VAC output, AC charging, good value.
