Re: [RE-wrenches] GJ series breakers 250A 250vdc

2013-02-26 Thread John Mottl
Hi Jeremy,

The GJ series is a F-Frame Breaker. Rainshadow has distributed that breaker
for the past 15 years. We also stock the E-Frame, Q-Frame, and D-Frame
breakers that are commonly used in the solar industry. You can reach us at
Rainshadowsolar.comyou can write me atjohn@.

We can include the backmount kit you need too.

Cordially, John

Wrenches,

Anyone know if the old DC250 breakers are still available? I see they are a
GJ series Heinemann.

Going to be insatalling a 2nd SW for a client. He has the DC250 enclosure,
so I was hoping to install it there. I guess I would need the mounting clips
to hold it to the backplate. Wierd since it's a panel mount breaker.

Re: [RE-wrenches] GJ series breakers 250A 250vdc

2013-02-26 Thread Ray Walters

HI Jeremy, Bob;

That's the little strap that would slice you open if you weren't
careful. That's a very hard box to work in just with one inverter. My
recommendation would be to switch that box out for dual inverters. Use
Outback's Flex 500, or Midnite's Notagutter. You're trying to save the
customer a little money, but the extra labor in trying to make that box
work is just not worth it. Its really You'll end up adding an aux load
center for something, and as you're already discovering, that box used
breaker configurations that are becoming obsolete.
Upgrade it now or upgrade it later, but I would stop the suffering right
now.

I think you can still buy the DC250, so I assume the breakers are out

or compatible DC breakers.
