Re: Linking/Appearance Schedule
I set up a project without any publishing structure and I do get that message. I see no effect on linking/appearance however. My page doesn't publish unless I remove the linking/appearance schedule. Re: Automatically attaching pages to a list
Re: 2. I believe there may be a plugin in the community extranet that will assign a keyword on existing pages of a content class. If not, I'm sure I have some RQL code that I can send over if you're up to rolling your own plugin. Re: 1. Keep the category/keywords that represent your content class separate from the content keywords. Preassign both keywords in your content class. In your list element, assign both keywords and make sure you have "All keyword assignments required" checked on. So if your content class keyword is "Press Release" and your content keyword is "Manufacturing", your list will pull any pages that have the keywords "Press Release" AND "Manufacturing". Re: Export Content to Office compatible files?
I'm not aware of any built-in tool to export directly from the rd database however, you can still accomplish this via reddot's extended list functionality. Essentially, you create a page that renders a table whose rows contain data from each page connected to a list placeholder. Export the table to excel by setting the content type to application/vnd.ms-excel. Another alternative is to code your output as xml which can then be read by just about any application. Re: Linking / Appearance Schedules
I found it simpler to have a plugin that moves the expired event into to an archived events list. We scheduled it to run nightly. All it does is go through each page in the current event list, check the ending date and if past the current date, disconnect/reconnect it to another list. In your case, you would just delete the event page instead of disconnecting it. Re: Adding a page to 2 lists at once
Try keyword linking. Assign a keyword to your pages then assign the same keyword your archive list. Your archive list will be populated with any pages that contain that keyword. You can pre-assign they keyword at the template level so your users won't have to do it every time they create/connect. Re: Export to Excel from reddot generate page
I just realized you were trying to do this in reddot preview mode. That explains why response.conenttype does not work. I do not think the XML solution will work preview mode either. When you are previewing a page, reddot actually generates a temporary asp page and it is probably where your response.contenttype is getting overridden. I have not figured out a way to get around this. I do know that if you publish out your pages, response.contenttype does work and you would get the save to excel dialog when you open the published page in your browser. fyi - your XML variant would need to contain XML tags (as opposed to HTML tags). For example: <%hdl_pageHeadline%> <%stf_city%> On Nov 6, 1:14 am, RDNewbee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thank you for your response. Re: RQL for assigning keywords to pages
I use the code below to assign/deassign keywords to a page. I've never tried it on a link but it might still work if you pass it the link's guid. g_cmdPrefix = "" g_cmdSuffix = "" Sub setKeywords(arg_PageGuid, arg_CategoryGuid,arg_KeywordGuids) xmlData = g_cmdPrefix & "" xmlCat = "" arrTmp = split(arg_KeywordGuids,",") for each tmp in arrTmp xmlData = xmlData & xmlCat & "" next xmlData = xmlData & "" xmlDataDel = "" ' Check for deletes set nodeList = objXMLPage.documentElement.selectNodes("CATEGORIES/ [EMAIL PROTECTED]'" & arg_CategoryGuid & "']/KEYWORDS/KEYWORD") for each node in nodelist curGuid = node.getattribute("guid") if instr(arg_KeywordGuids,curGuid) = 0 then xmlDataDel = xmlDataDel & "" end if next if xmlDataDel <> "" then xmlData = xmlData & "" & xmlDataDel & "" end if xmlData = xmlData & "" & g_cmdSuffix 'response.write "SetKeywordsXML: " & server.htmlencode(xmlData) xmlReply = objIO.ServerExecuteXml (xmlData, sError) call showXMLError("setKeywords",xmlReply,sError,true) End sub On Oct 24, 8:16 pm, bushland25 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > Does anyone know if any RQL exists that allows for you to assign/ > remove keywords from pages and from links? Re: Foundation Page
If you are using DIVs to do your columns, you could just enclose that 3rd column within a conditional tag. If you are using tables, the conditional tag would still work but you'll probably have to nest tables. Re: Changing a style based on a keyword
Heiko - You used to have to have info element in both content classes but that is no longer necessary. The info element in the list content class will read in the keywords of the connected pages as long it is set to "transfer element content.." as you indicated. Re: Changing a style based on a keyword
I think you are on the right track. Your list placeholder essentially needs to read the keywords of pages connected to it. Just create an info element in your list page and set its content to keywords. Your hyperlink then becomes: Assuming your keywords are valid css class names, then all you need to do is make sure the classnames in your css matches your keyword names. Now, the catch with this approach is that if you have multiple keywords assigned to your policy pages, then the inf_keywords placeholder will return all of the keywords in separated by commas (i.e. "keywordA,keywordB,keywordC") which of course is not a valid css class name. If this is your case, then I think you'll have to use scripting to parse out the keyword you want. I have a vbscript function that I use for this purpose. I can dig it up for you if you can use it.
