USB storage devices show up as SCSI hard drives, so depending on your system, it is probably /dev/sda, and the partitions will be /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2, etc... (Depending on how the drive is partitioned.) I recently bought a maxtor USB 120 gig external hard drive. I have been trying to get it to work on Red Hat 8.0. It does not seem to recognize it when i attempt to mount it.
