Yeah. Don't use the crappy redhat search. I use
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=redhat-listr=1w=2

for searching. It works pretty well.

I have taken to using the site for searching all maillists there must be
two hundred lists archived there.

Searchable Red Hat Mailing List Archive

2003-02-22 Thread Thomas E. Dukes
Hello,

Someone a while back posted a link for searchable RH mailing list
archive but I lost it. :-(

Obviously I can't search the one on Red Hat's site as it has been
broken for sometime now which I feel looks a little bad/slack on their
part.

If anyone has this link, I would appreciate you posting it.

TIA

Red Hat's mailing list archive (WAS: to newcomers: please try to solve the problem yourself beforeasking)

2002-10-08 Thread juaid

I've just filled in the form of Red Hat's Web Site Feedback at
http://www.redhat.com/apps/response/web_contact.html

There I complained about the mailing list archives system, and that it
should give results by subject, thread, etc...
I think we should ask there for that change to be made...

if not, the mailing list archives will continue to be useless to us, the
same questions will be asked again and again (like taproot's song), mail
traffic will be heavier than it could be, and Red Hat will be consuming
resources for something that is not used by abyone...

what do you think?

Regards,

juaid

PS: heheh, now if everyone here makes the post, Red Hat guys will hate
me!!! :P

Well... I hope to fix that soon... I laid a new face on the site and when
I do that (because I know people depend on the old content being there) I
usually bump it one level down as I did here and then over time I drag the

You'd have thought Mailman would have had a bit more intelligence with respect
to the dates. But I think it simply trusts the headers in the mbox files. I
may have to hand edit the several culprits that have the wrong date headers
and re-gen the archive. Oh well.

Is the archive complete from July 6th; 99 to present? I have a 28M folder
from the redhat-list dating back to September and the sections listed in
KB on the moongroup site appear to be off by an order of magnitude. Reason
I ask is that I'd like to peruse some past articles rather than just
searching on keywords as I can do that through MHonarc on Moongroup's site
or use the rehat-list-request archive search.

I'd like to thank Chuck Mead and those at Moongroup for hosting the
archive and offering their services, tis appreciated.

Danke,
kj
