using TOP

2003-02-04 Thread mike
Hello All,

using RH8, I can ps -aux and see httpd running as apache but when I do a top
and specify the user apache, nothing shows. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Top only shows (at most) a screenful of processes. If your process is idle
or using low memory/cpu, it may not rise high enough to display. Try gtop
instead if you want to view all processes.

Top shows busy processes. The httpd daemon is probably idle, and thus
not shown.
