KDE 4.1.x schedule

2008-07-27 Thread Albert Astals Cid
We need to plan the 4.1.x schedule. There have been some translation team
leaders asking me if it was worth translating stable branch as no 4.1.x
release was annouced on
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.1_Release_Schedule

Tom Albers has suggested "getting the last tuesday of each month for the
release and substract a week to find the tag date"

If everyone is OK with that i can update the wiki.

I've added .1 .2 and .3 to
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.1_Release_Schedule now

Of course they can be changed but i want something there to make sure noone
gets the wrong idea about not having any 4.1.x release

Suggested where and why? Is there a reason for not sticking to the established
schedule of tagging last wednesday of a month and the release of a week later?

The extra week of time between 4.1.0 and 4.1.1. is well needed for the week of
Akademy.

Dirk

I changed the schedule to tagging last Wednesday of a month and releasing
on the first Wednesday of the next month, like so:

16 August 27th, 2008: Tag KDE 4.1.1
17 September 3rd, 2008: Release KDE 4.1.1
18 September 24th, 2008: Tag KDE 4.1.2
19 October 1st, 2008: Release KDE 4.1.2
20 October 29th, 2008: Tag KDE 4.1.3
21 November 5th, 2008: Release KDE 4.1.3

I just added a schedule for the reasons i already mentioned twice, if you want
to change it, it's ok, i only want the schedule to exist.

Because I did not know there was already an existing rule and i wanted to give
Albert a guideline to work with.
