Ok, seems there's an agreement that "before RC1" is what we want, added it to the schedule page. Cheers, Albert > > Regards, > Heiko

My understanding would be that this is a dependency version change and thus this is already covered by the dependency freeze? Usually the dependency freeze for Gear is even before the beta version, but usually we only have roughly one month between beta and release though. While this time it's three months. I admit it sounds a tad weird if a project switches Qts between beta and RC but given there's still plenty of time and that Christmas/New Year would be included, like Sune pointed out, I'd be in favour of rc1, too. Of course being of "good quality" is a given, but if Okular-Qt6 "becomes of good quality 3 days before the release" we're obviously not going to include it in this release. That is what I am asking here, when is the latest possible date we will accept a repository switching from Qt5 to Qt6. I'm proposing before RC1. Until how kate do we allow KDE Gear repositories to switch to Qt6? I'd vote for "need to be ready for RC1". Opinions? Cheers, Albert > > Cheers, > Albert
