Re: [Re: [Re: [Repeater-Builder] UHF Micor mobile circulator]]

2004-03-18 Thread JOHN MACKEY
I may do a tempory fix like that.

It's really bad timing right now. My repeater in Sioux City has had a PA deck
go 1/2 time flaky I need to put together a repeater for the Tucson area.
Suddenly, I need to find a few UHF micor mobiles.

True, but in many I have found, the dummy load has already
seperated from the casting. I don't know what causes this (I
believe high temps or physical vibration from mobile duty), but
it seems to be a fairly common occurance.

One local group went out and got a Forest Service permit and
built their own building, put up their own tower, and moved the

[Repeater-Builder] RE: N- Connector cracks???

2004-03-18 Thread Richard MI Ranta
Hello and welcome to the wonderful spring 2004. Its snowing here!!
This past Saturday, our gang worked on our clubs repeater and discovered a
cracked N- Connector. I believe this connector was of good quality, but do
not know the brand name. Anybody here have any suggestions on how to prevent
this?? I believe it was a vertical crack.
Thanks and have great weekend.
