think and go up. Below that is full/half duplex links, so low end may be

I think others have pointed you in the right direction-the AR902 group,
but breifly, they work OK as receivers in the bottom of the band, up to
maybe 907-908 maybe? But at that they do need mods, mostly the front end
helicals have to be changed, and the mods only work on certain models. I
don't think there has been much success moving the transmitters up at all.

Don't forget-there are several versions of these. The first ones I know
of were made from 2 HT90's. There have also been versions made with
P10's, P50's, SP10's, SP50, and others. The later ones usually were
called 'R-Net'.

[Repeater-Builder] Motorola Keynote pagers

2004-05-24 Thread JOHN MACKEY
Sorry - I know this is a little off topic of repeater building, but I am sure
someone here could answer this question. I am dealing with Motorola "Keynote"
pagers. What is the difference between the 2 models below? In other words,
what does the "-DFC" mean?

thanks

Yes, a lamb is a baby.

If I remember correctly (it's been 20 years since I last
sheared a sheep) the parents are rams and ewes

So (with tongue firmly in cheek) an adult Lambda would
be a Ramda or a Eweda.

And no, you don't measure Ramdas in megabytes
or by pin count.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Remote Base Project

2004-05-24 Thread Mike WA6ILQ
The older non-unified Micor RX chassis show up on ebay now and then.
I used one - made for a low band RX - with a UHF RX board. Had to drill
out the rivets that held the channel element bracket, but other than that
it was a drop-in. Power was supplied by a small 12v 2a Lambda supply.

It was used with an Aerotron RX that would not live in a high RF site.
The combo was dubbed a Micortron.
Later on the Aerotron RX was moved to a 420mhz link channel and
reinstalled.
