[Repeater-Builder] Old Equipment !

2007-05-29 Thread Jeff Thomas
Hi Folks:

I am a minister in a small town in southeast Missouri. Iused to mess
with Ham radio years ago, was also a licensed broadcaster then. Anyway
I would like to get back into it, not only for myself, but also to
share with some kids that I work with. Most of them come from broken
homes, and just need a little attention. Does anyone in this group
have any old equipment that they are not useing, that I may obtain
cheaply due to my tight bubget,(oath of poverty),lol. Thank You and God
Bless.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Repeater Interference

2004-11-23 Thread Jeff Thomas

Hi Ken,

Yes it is 1420 AM.

How do I remove it?

As soon as I put my mobile notch duplexer back in, the AM station was gone.

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Repeater Interference

2004-11-23 Thread Jeff Thomas

Thanks Mike,

The station is 1420 AM.

Nothing else was changed besides the duplexer.

The AM station audio is audible during the entire time the repeater
transmitter is transmitting, even during the hang time.

It is a much lower level compared to the repeated audio and it is perfectly
clear. I could hear everything Rush Limbaugh was saying.

Thanks for your help.

I appreciate everyone who responded to my request for help.

I will reinstall the new duplexer tomorrow and check the grounds and see
what's up.

Will let you know.

Thanks

Phone order shows they are in-stock:

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Re: Repeater Controllers

2004-12-26 Thread Jeff Thomas

If you are looking for an awesome miltiport (3 port) RC with all the
features, and expect top-of-the-line support, I recommend the Arcom RC-210.
You can do all of your programming via serial port and a nice PC interface
with one config file.

Support for the RC-210 is the best. When I was researching different
controllers, I requested information from others (CAT, NHRC and others) and
never received a reply; however, Arcom was there with all of my answers.
Since purchasing the RC-210 from Arcom over a year ago, I have nothing else
to say but thanks to Arcom for an awesome product and the best support.

 Russ,

Why not let them discuss the subject alone? We have no first hand

I will say that I don't know what this has to do with a DB224...
