Looks like the last part got orphaned, even with < >. You'll have to
cut and paste I suppose.

Did you turn on the autopatch function? Did you set the access code
& hang up code? Is the phone line plugged in (stupid question, I
know, but I've done that)?

In programming mode:
Autopatch enable: 4104xx
In normal op mode Axx to turn on the autopatch

If you don't have a manual, it can be downloaded here:

You can also call Ron, he can be helpfull.

[Repeater-Builder] Re: 2 Delta S's as a UHF repeater

Hello Dale,

I have a pair of VHF Delta S's that I am using as a backup repeater -
actually I have been using it for about two months now while I
overhaul the 'ole Micor. It works fantastic - good audio, plenty of
RF - 110 watt Delta running at 60 watts. The helical front end seems
to work well as there is a 1/4 kW fire department paging transmitter
on an adjacent tower about 500 yrds away. I have heard that the
Delta receiver is very similar to the Mastr III station rx. We have
a BpBr duplexer in place and there doesn't seem to be any problem
with desense with the 600 kc split. I would imagine that with the 5
mHz split on UHF it would work real well.

I wired the two control head cables into one control head by
connecting the BCD lines to both radios, the receive audio, speaker,
& COR lines into the RX radio and the mic and PTT lines into the Tx
radio. There is information on one of the packet sites that tells
you how to run the radio with no control head. If you do that you
will need to put your channel info into ch. 16 because the Delta
selects the channels by grounding various combinations of the 4 BCD
lines. Ch. 16 is selected when none of the BCD lines are grounded.

It works so well that the work on the Micor has become a back-burner
issue.

I did read somewhere that if you turn the power on the Delta too much
it will go crazy and put out a bunch of spurs, so keep that in mind.

If you need any details drop me a note.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Need lowband Exec II xciter align instructions

2004-03-12 Thread kf4pxz
See:

http://www.qsl.net/n1gnn/alignmen.htm

You will need to replace some parts to get it to work. I have one working on
53.01 tx but it was a pain, required some cap changes and still didn't want to
tune up too well. If you can get your hands on a low band mastr II they seem
to go up there without any problem.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] hiPro R1 Repeater and Sinclair Q2220E Duplexer

2004-01-30 Thread kf4pxz
Brad,

I too have a Sinclair Q2220 duplexer with a mastr exec II and it does not work
very well at the 50 watts I am running. Like Mr. Lemmon said, if I were
running 10 watts, it would probably work okay, but I'm not so it doesn't.
Good thing I have other receivers, or the repeater wouldn't work very well at
all. One day I'll get something different, but for now this is what I have to
work with. I wish I had done the math...
