Neil - I fly to Japan because driving to Japan is not possible from the US. I
have recently driven to Iowa. Nice job of turning this around, Neil.

2004-05-19 Thread Neil McKie

  Well, almost.

My last attendance at a Cactus Meeting was when it was in
Sacramento a few years ago. The last Cactus Meeting I attended
in the Los Angeles area - I flew to it.

Yes, I do go to somewhat screwy places.

So do you: Iowa ... Japan ... where else?

Besides, I would rather drive a Suburban that almost any other
 vehicle I have ever owned.

At this writing I seriously doubt I will ever attend Dayton or
 OARC.

This is SOOO RICH!!! (in other words, full of BS)

Neil, you will drive all over the west coast for ham radio gatherings. I've
seen you DRIVE a Suburban from Portland (OR) to LA for the Cactus Radio Club
meeting because it is "only held once a year". But you can't fly a 6-8 hour
flight for a BIG "once a year" ham radio activity like Dayton or OARC
