RE: [Repeater-Builder] GE Nomenclature
Ian, All of the information you seek is in the GE Database, right here on the Repeater-Builder site: First, scroll down to the Publication Index PC05, which covers your station. The Combination Number FI56KAU66A is a 35-watt Desktop station for the 150.8-174 MHz band. The PC05 document lists all of the LBIs you will need to make up a complete service manual for your particular station. The following LBIs apply: 4980 30043 30049 30052 30053 30054 30055 30057 30096 30102 30130 30131 30452 30854 You're in luck: All of the above 14 LBIs are available for download from the Repeater-Builder GE listings. Some of the above LBIs are just cover pages, while others are available in more than one version. You may need to pick and choose to select the version that applies to the module in question. If your station is an early model, the latest version of an LBI may not be applicable. 73, Eric Lemmon WB6FLY -Original Message- From: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ian Miller Sent: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 10:48 AM To: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Repeater-Builder] GE Nomenclature Hi guys. THanks to all who looked up those transistor numbers. One more P I T A question. Our club received a Exec II base station with the folling combination: F156KAU66A TX: 124-A RX: 89-1 I did try to search this on google with no result. Does someone know what this is? We were told its on UHF - I havent had a chance to see it yet. Thanks Ian VA2IR
Re: [Repeater-Builder] GE Nomenclature
It's VHF and breaks down as: F = Desktop base 1 = 120VAC 5 = 40 watts ("16 - 38") 6 = 30kHz channel spacing K = Local/remote A = 1 TX, 1 RX freq. U = Channel Guard 66 = 150.8 - 174 MHz A = +/- 5ppm See http://www.rayvaughan.com/mastrexec2.htm for more info. Re: [Repeater-Builder] GE Nomenclature
Check the Doug Hall web site for nomenclature breakdown. The 66 is VHF High split, but I don't remember the rest of the number without looking.
