It has been very tempting to unsubscribe, but I do find plenty of useful
information here. I agree 100% HO HO HO!! Its Christmas guys. If
someone asks what appears to you to be a DUMB QUESTION, remember you
weren't born with the knowledge either. Just answer it and move on!!!
BESIDES, ISN'T THIS LIST MODERATED??

2004-12-03 Thread Doug Bade

I have some GE Mastr III 860 amps, which I am selling, which are
rated at 110w on 26-28vdc.. +10dbm drive. They make 100 or better on
927.9875 and below. Most do 110w. Size is comparable to a Mastr II station
PA. Asking what I consider to be quite reasonable The Maxtrac Exciter
is +20dbm at the pin coax

email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for more info...

Anyhow back on the topic of repeaters..
I lurk quite a bit here and over on the AR902 group and I am in the
process of gathering the pieces
and parts to put up a 900Mhz amateur repeater. I am trying to locate a
relatively inexpensive
900 Mhz continous duty amp to be driven by a Maxtrac exciter as well as a
source for a duplexer.

I already have the maxtracs for use and the filters. I just need to do
the VCO mods , replace the filters,
and build my interface between the units. I have access to heliax and a
900mhz commercial repeater antenna
for use...maybe even two.

Any recommendations on where to find the amp and duplexer on a budget ?

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Ho! Ho! Ho!

2004-12-03 Thread russ

Hello All,
For our Metro-Comm, INC new 900 MHz we bought all our stuff from Cook Towers
new.
For amps we bought Crescend 130 watt out amps for each site. Model number
P15-R5L1-001 for duplexers we use the TX/RX station duplexer model
28-88-04321-A for power we use the Astron RS-70 13.8 VDC 70 amp supply. The
above really did not cost that much new. They are all providing us with good
service and are working very well.
The Repeaters are TKR-901 Kenwoods and we use Link-Com RLC-3 ver. 1.80
controllers. All bought new. We are very happy so far with the system.
Good luck,
73 Russ, W3CH
Trustee, Metro-Comm, INC.
W3PS/RPT. Repeater network.
