[Repeater-Builder] Re: Illegal uhf repeater
Before you put a uhf repeater on the air, you need to be assigned a frequency by the Mid-America Coordination Council (MACC). The Nebraska coordinator is John Gebuhr WB0CMC and he may be contacted at the address listed in www.qrz.com He will mail you the required forms and upon successful completion of the coordination process you will be assigned a repeater pair. If you have reason to believe that a repeater is being operated contrary to Part 97 (ie; no control operator) you may report this information to John. In addition to being the Nebraska coordinator, he is also an 'OO' and will investigate your allegation. --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], nebraska_ham [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: please help us and tell us how we should proceed. we are attempting to put a uhf repeater on the air and someone is using the frequency we intended to go on. the repeater has been abandonded as the repeater owner moved away several years ago. i am guessing that we just df the transmitter and take it down. attempts to find the repeater owner are useless as he left the state years ago. we heard that the owner who abandoned it is now on the west coast, there are a few rumors that he is in the military out of country. advice is appreciated here since the fcc is so useless. Again, where was it said (or confirmed) that this is a ham repeater? Joe M. Frank R. Re: [Repeater-Builder] Re: Illegal uhf repeater
I thought the guy who originally posted asked us to drop the subject because he made a mistake on the frequency. Didn't he?
