[Repeater-Builder] Re: Squeel'n Problem!!

2006-01-18 Thread Dennis Carpenter
Kevin ; I have a spkr on the rptr and it was working fine couple days
back when I was at the site. There was no squeeling at the time either.
I'll get back up there and put another speaker on it. This was my first
thought but it checked out at the time. Could be a intermittent
connection somewhere in spkr connections.

Tnx,
Dennis ki5fw

Do you have a load on the Speaker leads? Mobile conversions like to
oscillate without a load on the speaker leads at all times.

around 1000hz heard on the repeater.

[Repeater-Builder] Re: Squeel'n Problem!!

2006-01-18 Thread Scott
Had the same exact thing happen on a Motorla Mitrek setup, asked the
guys here, they said turn up the power a little so the internal TX RX
filters would work better. Cranked it up from 25 to 30W and it did the
trick.

I have heard the GE's are just a finicky.

goes. It at first could be heard only when a carrier was being
rec'd. When the rec'd signal dropped so did the tone. Nothing heard
 on tx hangtime.
This morning though it remained on after the rec'd signal dropped,
all the way until the R
rptr TX dropped. It would happen this morning about 50% of the time.
This was first time we've heard it in a few days.
Any ideas what to look fer first?? Thought the trouble was the
rec'vr but after this morning not to sure.

 As always thanks in advance,
