KA9FER DB4062 duplexer to change band segments.  I have loop
information you need to modify or replace the loops.  Its a little
complicated (for me anyway). If you give me a FAX number or snail mail info I
can send the information to you. It won't look pretty or clear because is will
be a fax or Xerox of a fax. Mine was a model C that was changed to model B and
alignment went very well.  It was not necessary to change cable lengths.
You must be careful about the null tuning capacitors.  They are very
fragile plus expensive and easily broken. They are also available. Note the low
side loops are not the same length as the high side so don't switch them
around. I am in Trenton, NJ and my phone number is 609 586-7443. The info I
have is from Decibel Products, a division of Allen Telecom Inc. Dallas, Texas.

Did you get an answer to this? I've forgotten what the A, B
and C ranges were. I have a DB4062 which is 143 - 156 MHz.
I can measure the cable length next time I am at the site
(should be within a few days). I'm not sure the loops
would be any different between the ranges, but they
might... I will leave that to someone more qualified to
answer it. I assume you tried tuning it without making any
changes? What was the result?

If they are piston trimmers, grab a ICOM for a GE MASTR-II, as long
as it is not a low band version. This is a cheap and readily avalible
source. But you may have to solder the trimmer in place as I don't
think the outer ring on the capacitor is threaded.

[Repeater-Builder] DB 4062 Duplexer repair

2005-04-12 Thread Tom Tishken KD4WOV\(laptop\)

Hello everyone,
Our club has a set of DB products DB4062 duplexer.
We need to replace the notch caps (one is bad for sure, very erratic
operation when tuning).
Where could we get replacements or is there a substitution?

thanks in advance
