Don't you mean BlondeStar? ;-)

http://www.smartelic.com/ - click on the BlondeStar logos. Very funny
stuff.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Bag Cell Phone interface?

2004-07-26 Thread Jim B.

 Curious,
Once upon a time I saw some talk about a interface that would work with a
bag cell phone. Does anyone have that interface that could shed some
 light on the issue?
 Thanks,
 Robert

FYI-in a couple of years, carriers will no longer be required to
maintain analog channels, so you can bet that the analog channels will
go away quite quickly, and the bag phone will no longer work.

2004-07-25 Thread Joe Pedulla

While working on an autopatch project we ran across this gadget,
http://boatantenna.com/cellular/cellsocket.html its not for a bag phone but
it may help with solving the no telephone line issue at a site if anyone is
interested.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Bag Cell Phone interface?

2004-07-25 Thread Larry Williams
What do you want to know? I have one and long time ago, incorporated
the design into a payphone board for the company I worked for then. It
used an 8751 processor with a dtmf decoder to read the digits from the
handset (telephone) and then controlled the radio to place the call. A
company out of chicago(telular) developed it and licensed it with
motorola. Can't (or couldn't about a year ago) find any reference to
them.
