For Gene and all, some questions...  1) Can I use the software for the 830 to program this, or is there another  version?  2) How difficult is it to get it to go to 444 MHz? The answer is yes they work very well on both two meter (Kenwood TKR-750)

They also sell the Kenwood Service Manual's at a fair price. I have bought
one for every repeater a bought from them. As well as some GMRS mobiles and
a control station(Sorry small base station on GMRS).
