---Seems to me a decent simplex or half-duplex mobile might be the more
economic way to do it. Sure, the TKR's can be run in this mode but it seems
to me that this is not only an expensive way to do it, the TKR's ain't
exactly small and light :-)

Ken -

It was a toss-up between W2ARK and N2ARK but I thought some might  
think I was into drug enforcement and would toss my van looking for  
the evidence locker.

I plan to set up itinerant repeaters in the van on 2-meters and on  
GMRS using a Kenwood TKR 750 and a TKR 850.  They'll be simplex  
repeaters because of coordination problems on 2-meters and the  
absence of 467 MHz GMRS frequencies on the bubble-pack handhelds.   
Any suggestions?
