We use Visio at work for a lot of different things. We have made our own
templates by drawing the diagram and then making it a single item.

These may help - they are more suited to IT stuff, but you can name a
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 unit rack panel anything you want... a duplexer, a
battery tray, etc.
