Absolutely, seconding this suggestion. I forgot that it wasn't already there. I think Codeberg is today far-and-away the most robust and popular service that has an explicit software-freedom dedicated focus. If there are any concerns (there may be very few), I am almost certain they would actively engage with us in discussing and working to resolve them.

I am myself using Codeberg now as the repository service for my projects.
