Done. I've just uploaded python-debianbts 2.0, which is based on simplesoap to experimental. Please test the hell out of it. If I don't hear any complaints within the next 2 weeks or so, I'll merge with master and upload to unstable. The git branch for experimental is: https://github.com/venthur/python-debianbts/tree/simplesoap If you find a bug and are willing to fix it as well, please use the above branch and provide a unittest that reproduces the bug. Dear reportbug developers, developer of python-debianbts here. Someone was so kind to port python-debianbts away from SOAPpy to simplesoap. This will allow us to transition python-debianbts to Python3 soon. As far as I can see, the patch looks good and all unitttests run smoothly, however since this is really a major change under the hood I'd like to have it even more tested and evaluated before uploading it to unstable and affecting thousands of users. So how would you as reportbug team like to test the new package? Would you rather have it in experimental or just as another branch in the github repository?
