Cloud Platform Architect Lincolnshire IL 1-2 years Contract *Skill Set:* Cloud Platform Architecture in a large enterprise environment Experience being a lead solutions architect on a project that involved automating software as a service on top of the platform Experience automating, scripting, orchestrating, and provisioning in a Cloud environment on the back end Experience selecting an orchestration Cloud computing tool (IBM, EMC, VMware) for a large enterprise, while leveraging technologies on site PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, HaaS Design a plan of hybrid cloud consisting of VMware and PowerVM Hypervisors *Role :*This company needs a Cloud Solutions Architect to work in their Enterprise Architecture department to evaluate vendors to select the orchestration tool (between IBM, EMC, and VMware), and then integrate existing and new virtualization capabilities for best of breed implementations and orchestrating these to deliver a Platform as a Service and eventually a Software as a Service for one of their lines of business. They need to work with networking, firewall, storage, Unix/Linux/Windows admin's, and Integration Architects to evaluate vendor capabilities for the company's standard technologies, and leverage the technologies that they currently have. They will do current state analysis and draw out road maps for automization, orchestration, and provisioning. The design aspect of this role will be determining what needs to be prioritized and what needs to be publicized. All of the orchestrations/provisioning/scripting will be 100% on the back end.
