Position: Application Support Specialist Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Duration: 6+ month contract Pay: Market Description: Candidates need to have experience in doing Service Pack upgrades as well as experience working with Access 2000 Database and SQL Will be upgrading to XP Service Pack 3 and Office 2007 (from XP SP2 and Office 97-2003), There are departments that rely heavily on macros, templates, add-ins, databases, and scripts. Testing is taking place in Q2, and we plan to deploy in Q3 of 2009. File conversions will take place in Q4 and going forward. There are cases where the individual who built the tools are no longer with the company, so we will need to seek expertise to rewrite or convert the tools. We would also like an analysis and recommendation of the best tool to house databases going forward (e.g., Access 2003 database may be better suited for SQL). We are unaware at this time of the scope and timing of help needed, but want to gather a list of resources that may be able to assist us.
