*Position: Sr. SQL Server Developer *

*Location:  Columbia, MD*

*Duration: 12 months contract*



Individual contributor for complex computer applications and/or application
initiatives.

Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and
existing designs.

Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data
requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.

Leads analysis efforts.

Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program
development, testing, and implementation process.

*Responsibilities will include: *

·         Application support/maintenance, small enhancements,
representation and support for infrastructure upgrades, coordination of
support and enhancement activities and troubleshooting, and establishment
of team best practices.

·

·         With recent business growth, we have a need to augment the team
responsible for enhancements and support with a hands on individual
contributor who can take responsibility for owning and leading specific
efforts.

·         Strong communication skills are essential as is business acumen.



*Required technical skills include: *

·         Absolute minimum of 8 years of experience in information
technology. Anybody with less than 8 years of experience will be
automatically rejected

·         8+ years application development and implementation experience.

·         SQL Server, Classic ASP, Crystal Reports, design experience, full
life cycle background, ability to translate business requirements into tech
solutions.

·         Recent hands on SQL Server is a must.

·         Someone with only Oracle will not be considered for this one.

·         "Nice to have" skills include some familiarity with java
technology, SSRS/SSIS, agile methodology.
