Not really. You can sort of trick it into using MP3 files (by manually
inserting them into the DB as MP2s), but MP3s aren't designed to be
seekable like MP2s, so you can't have cuts start at arbitrary offsets. It
also really chokes on VBR MP3s.

Thanks for both your responses, Aaron & John. I'm definitely convinced 
to go with an Audio Science card.
Now I need to figure out which of the 6 card models I need. Looks like 
I've got my work cut out for me.

Audioscience for that.
