has worked perfectly out of the box with multi screens, up to 4.

Um, ... back to CentOS?

:-)

(Couldn't resist that slow-pitch softball arching (pardon the pun) lazily
across the plate.)

[RDD] Help!! RDimport broken after upgrade to 2.17!! - Working Again

2017-10-20 Thread Tom Van Gorkom
I cannot explain what was wrong but I first rebooted the server and found
an fs export issue that was on a shared drive not related to Rivendell. The
manual import/export began to funtion on the clients but not the dropbox
yet. After correcting the fs export error and re-exporting the fs list,
dropbox began working. The other thing we did was to pray over it... and
around here that can make a big difference.

2017-10-20 Thread Tom Van Gorkom
Any ideas for what to look for and how to start the impor/export functions
on 2.17 on Centos 6.9?

I can't even import manually. The cart button does nothing and drop box
does nothing.

Re: [RDD] Using Jack with 2.17.0

2017-10-20 Thread Hoggins!
Hello,

This raises a question, maybe you just answered it, Fred :
While migrating from 2.16 to 2.17 on one of our machines, we lost the
information that the primary audio driver was Jack, all that was left
was a bunch of "UNKNOWN" entries in the list.

Is running RDAdmin as root with also a Jack server as root still
required to make it discover the correct drivers at first run ? For us,
as we *knew* nothing had physically changed since then and we were kind
of in a hurry, we just changed back the information in database, and we
were good to go again. But of course this is not the right method.

Thanks !

[RDD] Lubuntu Live CD

2017-10-20 Thread Tim Camp
Greetings,

I have uploaded to my website a installable live cd of Rivendell 2.17.0 on
Lubuntu 14.04LTS for x86-64

I built this iso to help me do multiple installs at our stations and just
thought some of you debian/ubuntu peeps might have a use for it.

This LTS version is supported through April 2019

The iso of Lubuntu has had all the fat removed nothing but system utilities
and a few necessary packages.
I like bare bones appliances in my control rooms.

It contains a fully operating Rivendell 2.17.0 install compiled from source.

One caveat no-hpi, I'll upload one that includes that in a few days.
I've got a little tinkering to do with the hpklinux.

For live testing with a cd
username is rduser
pw is rivendell

to run Rivendell from the cd you will have to start mysql

sudo service mysql start

If you wish to install you must run install from the boot splash, not
inside the live version.

Here is the link http://dotcom1.net/rivendell/L
ubuntu-Rivendell-2.17.0-Live.iso
MD5 check sum at http://dotcom1.net/rivendell/MD5

I'll also post a 16.04 version when I get finished with it.

Cheers
