What does top(1) say about memory utilization of the glasscoder process as it 
runs over time (in particular, the VIRT parameter)? Does it increase over time?

Well my initial hopes that I had sorted this by increasing the server 
RAM have been dashed as the stream dropped again just now with the same 
error


glasscoder: quantize.c:2044: CBR_iteration_loop: Assertion 
`cod_info->part2_3_length <= 4095' failed.


The extra RAM seems to have kept it going for longer between drop outs 
(several days) but it still dropped out.
