[RDD] Rivendell Appliance Installer with RAID options

2021-08-11 Thread Bruce Lee Mones
Hello all,

I remember before there is an appliance installer with RAID options
included. Is this still available? Where can I download the installer?

Thank you,

Re: [RDD] Automated Library Ingest

2021-08-11 Thread Alan Smith

Thanks everyone.

I have not used RD's dropbox feature yet, but I didn't consider RDCatch
can pull files locally, and looks like going through the manual didn't
know it could do smb either.  I use RDCatch, but have only used it for
http and ftp so far.

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed!

Won't RDCatch do this for you? RDCatch gets almost all of our program files for
us, mostly via ftp downloads, but some are transferred from local folders. If
the syndicated show has a consistent file naming convention it should be easy
to set this up. I found the manual here:

http://38.100.3.69/

Here's an example of a URL line from one program RDCatch ingests for us every
day:

file:///home/rd/program_import/%m_%d_%Y_LU.mp3

Greetings Alan,

Hello group...

Is there a way to have RD automatically ingest audio?

Specifically, wanting to know if its possible to have Synchronicity (a
proprietary content downloading app) say save the downloaded content
to a folder on RD, and have it automatically import it to the library.

We are wanting to fully automate a syndicated show that uses
Synchronicity basically in the same way that you would with http or
ftp downloads.

Thanks!

I think the tool you are looking for is the Rivendell dropbox (not to be
confused with the similarly named cloud service).

Search the internet or the wiki (http://wiki.rivendellaudio.org/) for references to
Rivendell dropboxes. For a quick start on your machine(s), go to RDAdmin > Manage
Hosts > [host name] > Dropboxes

And for the complete reference visit
http://opsguide.rivendellaudio.org/html/sect.rdadmin.manage_hosts.html#sect.rdadmin.manage_hosts.configuring_dropboxes

Hope this helps!
