Those markers were probably like that since you imported the tracks. It's a common problem. When importing I turn off autotrim, then I go through the tracks and set all the markers manually.Andy Sent from my BlackBerry — the most secure mobile device From: anpep...@gmail.comSent: 15 May 2020 01:55To: andy.coop...@gmail.comCc: rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.orgSubject: Re: [RDD] Voice tracking That's it! Delete the log to which they belong. You can see which log that is by
looking in the ‘OWNER’ column in the cart list in rdlibrary(1).

[RDD] Voice Tracking - rdlogedit

2018-07-01 Thread rivdev
Hello,

I'm new to Rivendell and I'm having some difficulty trying to get voice
tracking to work. Apologies in advance for the length of this email.
In short, I don't see generated logs in RdLogEdit - the service that I
created doesn't show up in RdLogEdit either, so that's probably why the
logs aren't there, but I don't know how to get the service or logs to
show up in RdLogEdit. Hoping for some pointers in the right direction.

I have rivendell set up in a proof of concept and have clocks set up and
logs generating through a service that I created called "Test". Music
has been imported and I have a legal ID timed to the top of the hour.
So, the hours are working as expected, music is being chosen and
scheduled automatically, etc.

I believe, though I'm not sure, that I have the prerequisites set up for
voice tracking. I have a group set up for voice tracks and I have that
group set up as the "Voicetrack Group" in the "Test" service. The
"Test" service has "Chain To" selected and has "Autorefresh" selected.
I have an event called VoiceTracks setup. Within that event I
right-click on the "Pre-Import Carts" and select "Add Voice Track".

Within the clock, I have a 15 second placeholder for voice tracks and I
have selected the VoiceTracks event. I can see the placeholder in
RDAirPlay where the voicetrack should be.

Here's where the trouble begins. I can generate a log using
RDLogManager. The log generates with no exceptions. However, that log
does not show up in RDLogEdit and therefore, it does not appear as
though I can record a voice track. The "Test" service that I set up
does not even appear in RDLogEdit, so the logs aren't there either.

I'm running v2.19.2 on CentOS7, if that's important.

Thank you for any pointers that you can provide.

[RDD] Voice Tracking

2015-01-13 Thread Al Sargent
I have posed this question before and received a couple of responses but
to no avail and I appreciate the responses I have received. I am trying
to figure out the voice tracking. I get into the voice track screen and
as I understand it I should be able to click the play button just down
from the top of the screen and on the extreme left side and the cuts
just above the button should play. And as I understand it, if I then
select a position in the log and click Insert Track, the track is
inserted and I should be able to record a track and see the VU meters
function. Everything seems to work except when I click the play button
to the left of the VU meter to listen I get no audio. When I click to
record I get no VU meter or recording. There was a suggestion that the
sound card needed to be setup. The sound works everywhere except in the
voice tracking. I am using the system on the air at this time and all
is working perfectly. I can record carts, re-record, carts, playback on
any screen, except from the voice tracking dialog box. Does anyone have
an idea what I am missing. I appreciate your help.

Cheers - Al

[RDD] Voice-Tracking/Log Editing lazyness bug SOLVED

2014-08-17 Thread Pedro Picoto
If someone still suffers from the issue

Someone suggested to

"«innodb-flush-log-at-trx-commit=2 to my.cnf» Now the voicetracker
responds in less than a second to the save button. "

That didn't work, at least for me.

Doing a search I've reached the effective solution:

Added:

innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=2
sync_binlog=2

to my.cnf file.

Re: [RDD] Voice-Tracking bug?

2013-11-26 Thread Jamie Dominey
I was having an issue similar to this when I switched from version 1 to
version 2. Another user posted a solution that worked for me back in
March. I have no idea why this works, but it did. I will cut and paste
the other message below.

Hi Guys,

I Think I figured out a solution.

Added : innodb-flush-log-at-trx-commit=2 to my.cnf

Now the voicetracker responds in less than a second to the save button.

This is a mysql setting issue in my opinion.
Give me a few to think about it any I'll remember what it is.
I've seen it before.

Hi all,

We are -after 3 months- still strugling with the
voicetracker module.

Everything works, but saving a 10 second voicetrack
takes >3 minutes !

To be clear, this is not remote, this is on localhost.
On same box as SQL is on. (quad-core 2.00Ghz 8GB Ram-
rivendel 2.2.0 -
MySQL 5.5)

Generating a Log also takes about 1.2 hours (4000 carts
in system .. SLQ
+/- 30MB), which is -in my opinion- also slow, or am I
seeing this wrong ?

I there someone, that could give me a clue on where to
search for this
issue ?

Peter

Re: [RDD] Voice-Tracking bug?

2013-11-26 Thread Marius Radiokæll Qtronix

Oops, I accidently replied to you directly Fred. Sorry about that. :p
-

I'm having the same problem here.

I have Rivendell compiled from source on a single computer locally for
evaluation and such, and every step of the VT-process takes atleast
10-15 seconds.
Adding, removing, saving takes forever. Everything runs on the same
computer.

Running Debian Stable with qt3 with threading from source.

"Normal" or not?

Obviously not. Sounds like an operational problem (network config or the like).

Cheers!

Single machine or networked?
If more than 1 machine, are all versions the same?

[RDD] Voice tracking questions

2013-10-27 Thread Pedro Picoto (TSF/tec)

Testing VT with RD...

An intro with let's say 20", a VT with 10".
VT will glue to the song start with the start of the VT. 10" of instrumental
till the intro will remain unspoken.
Hit the Post doesn't work under those circumstances. Am I doing something wrong
or is it the way it actually
works? (It shouldn't, imo).
I know that a 22" VT over a 20" intro will give a 2" silence VT at the
beginning.

Is it normal to take about 40" to save a log on the Log Editor after inserting
the VT placements?
Is it normal to take an average 30" to save each VT recording or if something
fails another 30" to Do Over?

[RDD] Voice-Tracking

2011-09-27 Thread Yitzhak Betancourt
OK I been working hard on it, trying to see how this feature works
perfectly and there's a lot of issues that I can not resolve yet and I
appreciate any help from you
Wikipedia explain how Voice-Tracking works..

graphically seems like this...

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Voicetrack_talkover_example.png

but, somehow when I try to insert a recorded Voice-Track on RDLogEdit, only
allow me to put it in last song segue and never after the song start, or
just before the line of talk end
I would like to know if it's possible to put a voice track in a mixed song
that is long in the middle of it on a transition and put the voice track
wherever I think it's possible?
