Re: [RDD] Voice tracking
Those markers were probably like that since you imported the tracks. It's a common problem. When importing I turn off autotrim, then I go through the tracks and set all the markers manually.Andy Sent from my BlackBerry — the most secure mobile device From: anpep...@gmail.comSent: 15 May 2020 01:55To: andy.coop...@gmail.comCc: rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.orgSubject: Re: [RDD] Voice tracking That's it! For the missing services, check that your "user" and "admin" Rivendell user ids (and any others) are authorized for those new services: RDAdmin, Manage Users, Service Permissions. [RDD] Voice Tracking - rdlogedit
Hello, I'm new to Rivendell and I'm having some difficulty trying to get voice tracking to work. Apologies in advance for the length of this email. In short, I don't see generated logs in RdLogEdit - the service that I created doesn't show up in RdLogEdit either, so that's probably why the logs aren't there, but I don't know how to get the service or logs to show up in RdLogEdit. Hoping for some pointers in the right direction. I have rivendell set up in a proof of concept and have clocks set up and logs generating through a service that I created called "Test". Music has been imported and I have a legal ID timed to the top of the hour. So, the hours are working as expected, music is being chosen and scheduled automatically, etc. I believe, though I'm not sure, that I have the prerequisites set up for voice tracking. I have a group set up for voice tracks and I have that group set up as the "Voicetrack Group" in the "Test" service. The "Test" service has "Chain To" selected and has "Autorefresh" selected. I have an event called VoiceTracks setup. Within that event I right-click on the "Pre-Import Carts" and select "Add Voice Track". Within the clock, I have a 15 second placeholder for voice tracks and I have selected the VoiceTracks event. I can see the placeholder in RDAirPlay where the voicetrack should be. Here's where the trouble begins. I can generate a log using RDLogManager. The log generates with no exceptions. However, that log does not show up in RDLogEdit and therefore, it does not appear as though I can record a voice track. The "Test" service that I set up does not even appear in RDLogEdit, so the logs aren't there either. I'm running v2.19.2 on CentOS7, if that's important. Thank you for any pointers that you can provide. Steve ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev

[RDD] Voice Tracking
I have posed this question before and received a couple of responses but to no avail and I appreciate the responses I have received. I am trying to figure out the voice tracking. I get into the voice track screen and as I understand it I should be able to click the play button just down from the top of the screen and on the extreme left side and the cuts just above the button should play. And as I understand it, if I then select a position in the log and click Insert Track, the track is inserted and I should be able to record a track and see the VU meters function. Everything seems to work except when I click the play button to the left of the VU meter to listen I get no audio. When I click to record I get no VU meter or recording. There was a suggestion that the sound card needed to be setup. The sound works everywhere except in the voice tracking. I am using the system on the air at this time and all is working perfectly. I can record carts, re-record, carts, playback on any screen, except from the voice tracking dialog box. Does anyone have an idea what I am missing. I appreciate your help. [RDD] Voice tracking questions
Testing VT with RD... An intro with let's say 20", a VT with 10". VT will glue to the song start with the start of the VT. 10" of instrumental till the intro will remain unspoken. Hit the Post doesn't work under those circumstances. Am I doing something wrong or is it the way it actually works? (It shouldn't, imo). I know that a 22" VT over a 20" intro will give a 2" silence VT at the beginning. Is it normal to take about 40" to save a log on the Log Editor after inserting the VT placements? Is it normal to take an average 30" to save each VT recording or if something fails another 30" to Do Over? ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
[RDD] Voice-Tracking
OK I been working hard on it, trying to see how this feature works perfectly and there's a lot of issues that I can not resolve yet and I appreciate any help from you Wikipedia explain how Voice-Tracking works.. graphically seems like this... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Voicetrack_talkover_example.png but, somehow when I try to insert a recorded Voice-Track on RDLogEdit, only allow me to put it in last song segue and never after the song start, or just before the line of talk end I would like to know if it's possible to put a voice track in a mixed song that is long in the middle of it on a transition and put the voice track wherever I think it's possible? -- Yitzhak Betancourt S. _ Telf. +58-426-6453575 ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://lists.rivendellaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
