Ok, I've opened a bug report: https://sourceforge.net/p/rosegarden/bugs/1436/ If you can bring that up and click on the little envelope icon to subscribe, we can take the discussion over there. I'm going to wrap up what I was doing on RosegardenScrollView and have a look at this next. [Rosegarden-user] Long-standing bug :(
Occasionally Rosegarden develops amnesia and 'forgets' what it is sending MIDI. The events in the transport window are still showing but nothing is actually sent. to. Disconnecting and re-connecting makes no difference. The *only* cure is is to close and restart. While messing about recently I think I've stumbled on the 'What' but only a guess at the 'Why'. When trying out different timers just out of curiosity I noticed that one of them consistently resulted in more frequent failures. Presumably Rose garden uses the selected timer to determine when to send messages, so I wonder if it's losing connection with the timer itself. Could this also be connected to the (very rare these days) occasions when everything suddenly speeds up? -- Will J Godfrey http://www.musically.me.uk Say you have a poem and I have a tune.
