MythTv 027 Fedora Package
Hallo, Since I couldn't find a MythTV 0.27 fedora package I rolled my own based on a git checkout and the spec file located at https://github.com/MythTV/packaging/tree/master/rpm I had to throw out some references to files and directories in the mythgame portion of the spec but it seems to compile and work fine for me under fedora 17 and 19. SRPM and spec file can be found under http://oncaphillis.net/mythtv/ Any critic and tips for improvement will be appreciated O.

Thanks, I will try; but I'm not sure Skype leaves the tarballs/packages in place on the servers when a new version comes out and this would need to be sorted out. Is an example of using autodl with tarballs also available? > You could then make this a package with the necessary extra requires (not sure > if the requires of the skype rpm are complete), and make it ExclusiveArch i686 > and x86_64. No, package requirements are missing entirely in Skype's official package; there are no dependencies at all. > You should then also drop in a /etc/profile.d file with the following in > there: > > alias skype='PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 skype' > > Otherwise audio won't work in F20+, the latter alone is worth doing a wrapper > package like this. Thanks for the hint, I will do. Does it make any harm on lower Fedora or RHEL distributions? I was also planning to submit the purple-skype plugin after the Skype review; do you think that could use that as the main "wrapper" package? Spec file and source rpm here: Spec URL: http://slaanesh.fedorapeople.org/purple-skype.spec The x86_64 build runs fine with an installed i686 package. Notes on rpmlint on the binary package: the explicit-lib-dependency can be ignored; these are the dependencies used by the Steam client itself, and need to be on the system BEFORE the actual Steam client is downloaded. The package itself contains only a script; so the last errors are related to the fact that the desktop files etc. point to a script and not a binary. The package sets STEAM_RUNTIME=0 in /etc/profile.d/steam.*; so the download client and the Steam client itself do NOT use Ubuntu libraries (the Steam runtime) for running; but instead use the Fedora system provided ones. Introducing myself
Hello, just joined RPMFusion. Was planning to do it much earlier but work keeps getting in the way. I'm a Fedora contributor; currently listed as #35 (out of 3259) in the Fedora badges app [1]. My Fedora user page [2] list some additional information about reviews, bugs and the various Fedora activities I've performed in the last years. Some stuff I've packaged is very likely going into RHEL 7; like the Bacula backup software that is the default in RHEL 6 and used in the Fedora infrastructure. My idea is to eventually introduce all the packages hosted on my homepage to RPMFusion after the appropriate reviews, modifications, etc. Later on, I would also like to contribute to the Nvidia drivers. I have tons of Nvidia hardware (SLI, Optimus laptops, etc.) and some different views on the way it's packaged. I will post them later on after the other (easier) package reviews. I'm currently building and mantaining my packages in both Fedora and EPEL, so for all package reviews unless specified I'm targeting all current Fedora releases and EPEL 6. Here is my first review request for Skype, which is in the RPMFusion wishlist: https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2978 Regards, --Simone [1] https://badges.fedoraproject.org/user/slaanesh [2] https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Slaanesh -- You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore (R. [Bug 2978] New: Review request: skype - Skype Messaging and Telephony Client
https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2978 Bug #: 2978 Summary: Review request: skype - Skype Messaging and Telephony Client Classification: Unclassified Product: Package Reviews Version: Current Platform: All OS/Version: GNU/Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 Component: Review Request AssignedTo: rpmfusion-package-rev...@rpmfusion.org ReportedBy: negativ...@gmail.com CC: rpmfusion-package-rev...@rpmfusion.org Millions of individuals and businesses use skype to make free video and voice calls, send instant messages and share files with other skype users. Everyday, people also use skype to make low-cost calls to landlines and mobiles. Notes on rpmlint on the binary: the license of course is not valid for Fedora inclsion. Config files in /etc/prelink.conf and /etc/dbus-1/system.d should actually be written exactly like this or Skype refuses to work properly (prelinking corrupts the binary, for example). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug.
