This package now exists in Fedora proper.

Updated:

Spec: http://mattdm.org/misc/fedora/scratch.spec
SRPM: http://mattdm.org/misc/fedora/scratch-1.4.0.6-4.fc16.mattdm.src.rpm

This is still work in progress but I wanted to share what I've got so far.

Of particular note: the MIDI and MP3 plugins do not include source. They're
32-bit binaries in the source tarball.

Oh! In fact, the MP3 plugin is not really a Scratch thing. It's part of Squeak.
So, we might be best just ignoring it from the point of view of scratch,
and maybe someone could make a squeak-mpeg3plugin package for rpmfusion?

Updated: http://mattdm.org/misc/fedora/scratch-1.4.0.6-9.fc16.mattdm.src.rpm

But, actually, the mp3 implementation is not integral and I'm optimistic that
this can go in Fedora proper.

I've been looking at updating the package.

I notice that MP3 support is a plugin. Another approach might be to put an
mp3-free Scratch in Fedora proper and put the plugin here (but that might run
afoul of the trademark guidelines). Probably the best thing to do there is ask
the upsteam what they prefer.

Note that as of April 2012, Scratch 1.4 is dual-licensed under the GPL. Maybe
we can re-start this?

Source0 URL is invalid, and current source is at
http://download.scratch.mit.edu/source-code/ScratchSource1.4.zip

It is appears that this is no longer available under an MIT-style license. The
License.txt file sounds like CC-BY-NC-SA .
