still closed due to missing kernel support in f22 (need 4.2 kernel and later
4.3 and so on...), could be re-introduced at f22 eol, but then what's the point
?

Been a while, but I need to revisit it.  I was playing with coin mining for a
short period but quickly lost interest, and I needed the OpenGL ES stuff
working for the ATI OpenCL engine to function properly.  The mainline RPMFusion
kmod libs fail to package up libGLEXv2.so.1 and libEGL.so.1 from the upstream
ATI package mosaic.

The additional upstream vendor package is the ATI ES SDK which is their OpenGL
ES 2 API specification, and that is necessary for Wayland support in F20
(dependency from Gnome 3 with Wayland support AFAIK) and beyond.  Last time I
looked, the upstream F20 gnome libs needed a patch, but that status is stale as
of my knowledge.

Thanks for getting back to me on this, Nicolas.

lspci shows my device as:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]
Curacao XT [Radeon R9 270X]

clinfo shows the card and the CPU, and I've been able to run some cl related
applications very well with this setup.

I'll look into libva support and improved the handling of the OpenCL related
bits when I have a chance to follow up on this again.
