It's really hard to fix apt-rpm bugs and Panu is really busy (maintaining RPM itself and with something called Real Life ;-) ). Kevin Kofler
Re: apt and smart support for RPM Fusion and Livna
I'm sending this again, as it didn't seem to appear on the list, and it would be nice to have apt support for accessing the rpmfusion repo's. Nigel. Now someone just has to backport it to F10 I'd go for backporting it to F8, and F9 as well. Apt was working just fine on both the Livna, and Freshrpms repos, until the transition to Rpmfusion, when everything hit the fan. Nigel.

apt and smart support for RPM Fusion and Livna
Hi! Just FYI, seems some people would like to have apt and smart support for RPM Fusion and Livna; see this mail (and the replies to it): https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2008-December/msg02807.html Smart support for RPM Fusion is in the works https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13 Support for apt isn't afaics. Does anybody want to work on this? BTW, I guess the livna developers will also be gladly accept patches that enhance the current livna-release rpm from http://rpm.livna.org/ to support support apt or smart (SRPM can be found here: http://rpm.livna.org/repo/8/SRPMS/livna-release-1-1.src.rpm); the old release rpms did support smart and apt iirc, but I they ignored the directory ownership problem.
