Ok, I've pulled the mame packages from F25 and left the other two in. I created a pull request for -free and -nonfree on github. I still need to look into the appdata stuff and test both -free and -nonfree on Fedora 25. Jonathan

Can you rebuild gens if needed ? I think the others mame pacakges can be removed, nvidia is currently in updates-testing, I will push them soon. Thx -- - Nicolas (kwizart)

Non-free: gens (i686 only in F24, is this now gone?) mame-data-extras mame-data-extras-robby xorg-x11-drv-nvidia Should I be removing all of these from the comps for F25 or are some of these mistakes? That should be fine. This is most useful for kickstart installs which should be using the -updates repositories anyway. Joanthan

I see the following issues: devede has been retired. Now there is devedeng instead. plus4emu is nonfree but it's included in the free list. zboy, fceux are missing. Bye, Andrea

Thx for this work. I don't expect this change can be implemented in the infra before 25 GA, so this will be implemented only on the updates repository which should work. -- - Nicolas (kwizart)

And I did test this yesterday, and it worked as expected. On a clean Workstation install with RPM Fusion Free enabled, I got rpmfusion-free- release, gstreamer1-libav, gstreamer1-plugins-bad-freeworld and gstreamer1-plugins-ugly. At this point, there seems to be no way to choose optional packages, either in the installer (as designed) or in GNOME software (no appdata, as Nicolas pointed out earlier). If there are no suggestions as to what else should be added, I'll try to get a patch out with updated comps for 24, 25 and 26 for both Free and Nonfree within the next few days. Jonathan
Re: comps for free/nonfree repos in rpmfusion
I have the beginnings of a comps for RPM Fusion Free for F24 at http:// lesloueizeh.com/jdieter/comps-f24.xml.in: On Thu, 2016-11-10 at 19:13 +0100, Nicolas Chauvet wrote: > Here is a quick TODO list anyone can take: > - clean packages not in rpmfusion anymore (moved to fedora, orphaned) Done. > - Update new ones (gstreamer1-* ?) I've swapped in kodi for xbmc where applicable, replaced the missing gnome-mplayer with vlc as an option in gnome-desktop, and added dolphin-emu to the Entertainment group. I've also split all of the default gstreamer plugins into the multimedia group which gets installed by default in most (all?) of the desktop environments. I'm sure there are many more that should be added, but I'd like to verify that I'm on the right track here. > - add appdata as a default group when needed.( probably not base, but > Desktop) I'll look into this. > - Verify the group names in Fedora are the same Done > Please try to test (not only make validate) I'll be testing this tomorrow. comps for free/nonfree repos in rpmfusion
I've extracted the comps.xml file from the old cvs server Here are the current location of the comps files for RPM Fusion as git: https://github.com/rpmfusion-infra/rpmfusion-nonfree-comps https://github.com/rpmfusion-infra/rpmfusion-free-comps The Fedora doc about comps edition: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_use_and_edit_comps.xml_for_package_groups The plan would be to re-activate comps in updates repos for f24+ after the release. Here is a quick TODO list anyone can take: - clean packages not in rpmfusion anymore (moved to fedora, orphaned) - Update new ones (gstreamer1-* ?) - add appdata as a default group when needed.( probably not base, but Desktop) - Verify the group names in Fedora are the same etc. Please try to test (not only make validate) Sergio might be able to merge requests.
