Upstream has two different source code repositories: one for devede and one
for devedeng. Therefore I choose to made a new package for devedeng (which
is quite different from the package for devede).

Moreover I followed Fedora Guidelines regarding replacing an existing
package:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Renaming.2FReplacing_Existing_Packages

When devedeng is in the RPM fusion repository, we will be able to retire
devede.

Bye,

Andrea

yes , I found it 2 or 3 days ago , now that seems we will have
RPMfusion rawhide ! , we can put devedeng there .
But shouldn't devedeng replace devede ? , i.e., or rename package or
even just update devede package with new code (devedeng), or do you
want the 2 packages, devede and devedeng, at same time ?

If you are interested, I have a review request for devedeng:
https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4013

devede is no longer maintained upstream.

BR,

Andrea

PS devedeng still requires vcdimager.

Thanks for the support, I will unretiring and maintain it.

If you want to maintain vcdimager, a vote is not relevant.

I'm all for unretiring it but who will be the maintainer? I can't really
take on any more packages right now. I can barely keep up with what I have.

Thanks,
Richard

vcdimager CDs (VCD, sVCD or CVD)

2016-07-05 Thread Sérgio Basto
Hi, this package was retired on RPMFusion F24 , but I don't know if it
was a good idea.  Because :

1 - it builds without problem
2 - devede stops to work , doesn't start until we install vcdimager,
even comment check vcdimager command still offer to make VCD, sVCD or
CVD
3 - Also xine will lose ability to read vcds ) I have to check this
item better.

In resume seems that give us less work unretire it and maintain it than
retire it, I my mind we just need retire it when begin to be one FTBFS
...

what is your vote ?

A- keep it retired
B- Unretire it

Thanks,
