[rt-users] Adding an image, tables cut off

2007-06-20 Thread Brandi L

Hi everyone!

I have two issues here that I'm trying to solve.

FIrstly, I'm trying to add an image to the login page. Its just a logo,
nothing fancy, just for the look of the thing. Here is what I've done...

-First, I put the image in html/NoAuth/images

-To my RT_SiteConfig.pm file I've added the following code:
Set( $WebImagesURL , $WebPath . /NoAuth/images/);
Set( $LoginImageURL, $WebImagesURL . Helpdesk_Fox.gif);
Set( $LoginAltText, Help Desk Fox);

-Then, I added the following code to html/Elements/Login:
img src=%$RT::LoginImageURL% alt=% loc($RT::LoginAltText) % /

The image doesn't show up, though. All I get is the box with the x in it and
the LoginAltText. After I made the changes I stopped httpd, cleared the
mason cache, and started httpd again.

My other problem is the fact that in Internet Explorer (but not in Firefox)
the right side of my tables is getting cut off when using the
3.4-compatstylesheets (see screen print link below). Has anyone else
seen this
problem?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Help is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Regards,
Brandi L

[rt-users] 3.4-compat stylesheets not displaying properly

2007-06-01 Thread Brandi L

Hi all,

I am having a problem with version 3.6.3.

I have changed the stylesheets to 3.4-compat, which works much better for me
than the 3.5 set except for one problem. On the 'RT at a glance' page the
tables on the right side (Reminders and Quick Search) are cut off a little
on the right edge. In Firefox, however, they display properly. Has anyone
else had a similar problem?

Thanks!

So I see that it could be a problem with the file's permissions, which is
odd because I never changed them and it was working just fine before.

I just changed the owner of both config files to root (which I'm currently
logged in as) and attempted a restart again. I also changed both file
permissions to 764. Still no luck. Any more suggestions?

Thanks!

Check your web server error logs. When I did this I found lots of useful
error messages in the error log and was able to find and fix my minor
changes and get it working again. Apache loads the RT code when it starts
- so if you goon the code it won't start. Scared the heck out of me the
first time it happened, thought I'd whacked my apache configs somehow.

I'm having a bit of a problem. Forgive me for my limited knowledge, I'm
an
RT and Linux noob.

I made some changes to the RT code (to the login page, I just added a
line
of text to see if the change would show up) and attempted to restart
httpd. The restart failed and now it won't start at all. I figured it had
something to do with the changes I made and restored the original code
but
I'm still having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on
how
I might figure this out?

[rt-users] changes don't show

2007-04-23 Thread Brandi L

Hi all!

Forgive my ignorance here, I've just download RT (version 3.6.3) and am not
all that familiar with it. Can someone tell me how I can make changes show
up once I've made them in the code? Not sure what to do here. Thanks for the
assistance!

Is there a way to get the changes to show without rebooting the server? I'm
working remotely at the moment.

Thanks for the help!
