Hey Ruslan;

yes, That part I get, however the body of the auto reply
contains contradictory info.

While the subject will say:

[queue-name ID#] Blah blah blah,

in the body of the actual auto reply, it will restate:
---
...
Your ticket has been assigned an ID of [queue-name ID#].

Please include the string:

[domain.tld ID#]

in the subject line of all future...

which is contradictory.

I hope I am making this clear.

  All iz well. But since I now have 2 queues, I was wondering

  Right now, the 'Please include the string [domain.tld #]

  for the subject line string.

  Basically, it's a non issue, but I was wondering if there is
  a simple way to implement this.

  Thanks kindly in advance;

 Fix templates, use the following code in them:

Err, a bit out of my depth I guess. Not sure
where to do this, not keen on fiddling Templates_Overlay.pm
or similar. And not clueful on how to add queue specific stuff
in the configuration menu

thanks though, read the book a bit more I suppose.

[rt-users] 3.6.1 - 3.8.1 attach file issues.

2008-08-22 Thread Chip Mefford
The 3.8.1 upgrade went well. resolved the auth issues okay.

Now however, when I attach an .xls file, the file comes back
corrupted, or unreadable as an .xls file. This worked okay
on 3.6.1. Perhaps I've done something wrong?

No errors are generated when attaching a file.

[rt-users] upgrade 3.6.1-3.8.1 Looping login

2008-08-20 Thread Chip Mefford
Upgraded 3.6.1 to 3.8.1, carefully read the docs, followed the
instructions (for mysql) and the upgrade went brilliantly. Good
job folks. Very nice.

Logged into my new shiny RT. And all looks good.
however, when running (some) reports, and fiddling
about with advanced searches, I'll get returned to
a login screen, and I must log in again in order
to access the result.

 Strange characters embedded in the names or something?
 Nope. The original email is text/plain with utf8 encoding and the
 headers are 7bit clean. The message contains a forwarded email, but
 I fail to see any obvious brokenness in it.

 Is it from a Mac? I've had some stuff sent from a mac with forwarded
 messages cause problems in mail readers... Just a thought. I forget
 why, but it was definitely an issue.

What was the email client on the Mac?

I have a lot of macs here, and I would have liked
to have seen a follow-up on this. Be nice to
know what the look out for.

[rt-users] Centos 4.3, rt no joy. (DBD::Oracle ?)

2006-08-29 Thread Chip Mefford
Attempted to install 3.6.0 on Centos 4.3 (up to date as of this am)
I've been trying for a few weeks, on and off to get this working.

Finally gave up trying to resolve seemingly endless dependencies
and hunted around for a rpm based (yum preferrably) based install.

Finding http://wiki.bestpractical.com/index.cgi?RPMInstall I was
pleased, and followed the instructions (to the letter, after failing
many times to do it 'my way')

I die at;

Error: Missing Dependency: perl(DBD::Oracle) is needed by package
perl-DBIx-SearchBuilder

sigh,
Apparently, satisfying this dependency is pretty endless and
more or less requires an Oracle installation.

I don't want Oracle, don't even particularly like Oracle.

I emailed Paulo Matos a couple of weeks ago, and no response to
date.

No joy.

Suggestions?

Thanks kindly in advance,
